Matt Carpenter has had an up and down career, and the last two years have been more down than up, with the exception of the last two months of 2018.
Carpenter's problems have been diagnosed by the Cardinals as a STRENGTH problem.
I disagree.
In my opinion, Matt Carpenter's problem are an EFFICIENCY problem.
And are likely due to the cue that created problems for Tommy Pham in 2018 and that led to his trade.
I'll illustrate this using this clip of Matt Carpenter from 2012 Spring Training which shows Carpenter hitting a ball literally out of the Braves Spring Training stadium; over the tents and pavilions in right field.
